Föreningen FLIKS står för Folkbildning i kreativt skapande och drivs av ett gäng kvinnor som jobbar med att bygga, städa, samla, utforska och ifrågasätta. Vi har byggt små hus på hjul, Tiny house. Husen byggs mestadels av återbruk: Överblivet, skevt, fult eller material som anses vara skräp. Vi undersöker bland annat vad det är att bo och alla de normer och standarder som finns kring byggande och boende.

The association FLIKS stands for Public education in creative creation and is run by a group of women who work with building, cleaning, collecting, exploring and questioning. We have built small houses on wheels, Tiny house. The houses are built mostly from reuse: Leftover, warped, ugly, or materials considered junk. Among other things, we investigate what it is to dwell and the norms and standards that exist around construction and housing.

Bygget var en del av utställningen Hållbara rum på Västmanlands läns museum på Karlsgatan 2 i Västerås som pågick mellan november 2020 och november 2021.
The construction was part of the exhibition Sustainable rooms at the Västmanland county museum at Karlsgatan 2 in Västerås, which ran between November 2020 and November 2021.
Bygga Hus Bygger Tjejer och Unga
Projektet 'Bygga Hus Bygger Tjejer och Unga'
involverar unga i Skultuna i högstadie/gymnasieålder i bygge av ett litet hus på hjul, ett Tiny house, av återbruk. Unga med mentorer och lärare får möjlighet att engagera sig i planerandet och uppförandet av ett tiny house på hjul som skall placeras i en park i Skultuna. Huset skall fungera för ungas intressen och behov och ge dem möjlighet att uttrycka sina önskemål och visioner om mötesplats och ett liv på landsbygden.
Projektet drivs av föreningen FLIKS och ABF. Projektet planeras pågå fram t.o.m. sommar 2023. Projektet medfinansieras av Europeiska Unionen och Leader Mälardalen. Mer..
Building Houses Builds Girls and Young People
The project 'Building Houses Builds Girls and Young People' involves young people in Skultuna of junior high/high school age in building a small house on wheels, a Tiny house, from recycling. Young people with mentors and teachers get the opportunity to get involved in the planning and construction of a tiny house on wheels to be placed in a park in Skultuna. The house must work for young people's interests and needs and give them the opportunity to express their wishes and visions of a meeting place and a life in the countryside. The project is run by the association FLIKS and ABF. The project is planned to continue until summer 2023. The project is co-financed by the European Union and Leader Mälardalen. More..
